Terms & Conditions

1 - Who we are 

Throughout these terms, we will refer to The Little Green Hut as the 'Supplier' or  'we' or 'us' and to you, our esteemed Customer or Client, as the 'Customer' or 'Client'.

2 - Quality Assurance

Under the Government Food Hygiene regulations, all cold food should be consumed within FOUR hours of being removed from a controlled environment, such as a fridge, and hot food should be consumed within TWO hours. Our service windows reflect this.  

Where you choose to supply food and/or drink for your evening reception, e.g., a wedding cake, we are happy to prepare and/or serve it for you but reserve the right to dispose of or not to serve any such item if it appears unfit for human consumption, displays signs of contamination or deterioration, and cannot be demonstrated to have been stored by statutory and/or regulatory requirements before delivery to us.

All excess food at the end of service will be removed and disposed of by us in accordance with prevailing statutory food hygiene requirements save where such food or drink has been supplied by you in which case you shall be responsible for removing excess food or drink and empty bottles unless otherwise agreed by us.

 

3 - Price Changes

Please note that due to the current economic climate, the quoted prices are subject to change in accordance with supplier price increases. Therefore, we reserve the right to make amendments to quotes and invoices where only the booking deposit has been paid

4 - Data Protection

We will process any personal data collected from the Customer for the purposes of administering the booking for the Event. We will not give your details out to any third parties.

 

5 - Cancellation Charges

The Customer acknowledges and recognises that we need to purchase food and other consumables in advance of a catered event. If you decide to cancel our services therefore or substantially reduce your numbers shortly before the date we may have already purchased the food and other consumables and may not be able to use the food for any other event, or the food may not be appropriate for any other event or will deteriorate or become unfit for human consumption if not used by a particular date or by any given 'use by' dates. The same applies for any equipment and/or hired labour that we will have contracted to service your wedding. 

Under normal circumstances, 4 months’ notice of cancellation is sufficient. Events cancelled with less than 4 months will be charged in the following way:

11-16 weeks 55% of estimated final invoice
7-10 weeks 70% of estimated final invoice
3-6 weeks 85% of estimated final invoice
1-2 weeks 90% of estimated final invoice

The Deposit is non refundable in all circumstances.

We will not be liable for any consequential damages arising from acts or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, fire, flood, accidents, or acts of war. In such cases, we may cancel the event with immediate notice to the customer and will refund all amounts paid up to the cancellation date, minus reasonable preparation and administration costs, as well as any non-refundable deposits made to third-party service providers for the event.

This cancellation clause applies only when the customer has paid a deposit to Little Green Hut for their service and a contractual relationship has been established. Little Green Hut reserves the right to decline to work with non-contracted clients for any reason.  

6 - Minimum Orders and Minimum Spend

At the Little Green Hut, we take pride in providing our clients with high-quality food and exceptional service. In order to ensure that we can meet these standards, we have a minimum order and spend requirement for our catering services. We are happy to work with you to create a customized menu that fits within your budget and requirements. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your catering needs and to learn more about our minimum order requirement.

Minimum Orders

Minimum order of 100% of the total guest count for a hot food option

Minimum order of 75% of the total guest count for a cold food option

Minimum Spend

Evening Food - Night Before

For night before catering a minimum spend of £2000 is required. In circumstances where you are not likely to meet the minimum spend on night before catering you can opt to pay the difference.

Evening Food - Wedding Day

For wedding day evening catering a minimum spend of £1500 (2025 to 2026); £1750 (2027) is required. In circumstances where you are not likely to meet the minimum spend on night before catering you can opt to pay the difference.

Breakfast

Check out day

The morning after your wedding, you will receive a complimentary buffet breakfast for all of your resident guests if you mmet the minimum spend on your wedding day evening feast. The complimentary breakfast includes toast and preserves, homemade overnight oats, Greek yogurt with a berry compote, fresh fruit platters, a choice of cereals, and tea, coffee, or orange juice. Hot breakfast items are charged as an addition and must apply to all of your guests. If you fail to meet the minimum spend, you can choose to pay the difference or purchase the breakfast buffet at £900.

Night Before
If you are staying at the venue the night before, the buffet breakfast on your wedding day is either:  

Complimentary -  if you spend a minimum of £2000 on our night-before menus. Hot breakfast items are an additional charge and must apply to all your guests.  

Complimentary - if you purchase a night-before venue hire option from Brympton House (for a maximum of 22 guests included in the option; additional guests are charged at £12.50 per person). Hot breakfast items are an additional charge and must apply to all your guests.  

Chargeable -  for dry hire options if you choose to work with another caterer the night before, at a rate of £900 for the breakfast buffet. Hot breakfast items are an additional charge and must apply to all your guests.

Chargeable - if you choose to work with another caterer on the wedding day, at a rate of £900 for the breakfast buffet.
